9.8.10MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT - Serving the 32nd has decided to keep the price of the book Red Arrow in the Sand at $29.95 + $4.95 for shipping and handling for the next 60 days. We felt that after the long awaited release we wanted everyone to see just how great the book turned out and give as many people as possible the opportunity to purchase a copy. Orders can be mailed directly to us at our PO address in Prescott, WI where we will mail the copies directly from us to you. You can download a pdf order form by clicking on the home page where it says How to Order. Our shipment of books will arrive on Friday September 10th. We still have approximately $4,000.00 yet to raise for this project. Please help us get over the top!
9.8.10Books are beginning to arrive!!We have heard from a few people today that the books that were ordered are beginning to arrive at their homes!!! This is fantastic news for everyone... We now believe that everyone who ordered their books will have them by the end of next week at the latest. Early reports from people who have received their books say that it is awesome!!!!
9.4.10
THE BOOK IS PRINTED!!!
After over a year of hard work by the editor and writers of the Guard and fundraising by our organization, Serving the 32nd is proud to announce that the book, Red Arrow in the Sand is now printed! Books will begin shipping on Tuesday, September 7th and all books ordered will be mailed out no later than September 10th! Soldiers books will be shipped from Topeka, Kansas to Camp Douglas, WI this coming week and should arrive there by the 10th. Once the books arrive the Guard will then begin the distribution process.
We want to thank everyone for their patience and help with this project. We know the wait will definitely be worth it. The soldiers books are still not yet paid for. With the added pages to the book, we have to raise another $4,000.00 before the entire project is completed. That means that we still have to sell some more books and or receive additional donations to complete the project. Once the project is paid for we will then take the additional money that is raised in selling the excess books and use it for future projects for the soldiers and their families.
We will have another major announcement coming in the next couple of days and we are hoping to put excerpts of the book on our website very soon.
8.19.10
BREAKING NEWS - Book Release Date is NOW SET!!
The official date for the release of Red Arrow in the Sand is September 3, 2010.
We know it has been a long journey for this book to become a reality but we feel the wait will be definitely worth it. Everyone who has ordered a book either online or by mail will have their books shipped directly from the Topeka Kansas plant. The rest of the books will be brought to Camp Douglas Wisconsin where the Guard will begin the distribution process to the soldiers. The balance of the books will then be sold through a variety of vendors.
8.18.10
Book Update - We can now release the official page count to the book Red Arrow in the Sand. The book will be 256 pages in full color. This is 16 pages more than we had originally planned for but it was felt the added pages were necessary to properly tell the 32nd IBCT story.
We still need additional orders in order to pay for the soldiers books. Please, if you have not yet ordered your copy of Red Arrow in the Sand please do so now. Once the book is released the price of the book will increase. Each copy of the book that is ordered helps pay for a copy that will go to a soldier. Help us get the soldiers books paid for by the release date.
8.14.10Under 30 books to go!!! Help us out and buy an extra book for the relatives, friends and colleagues. It has been a long journey but the light at the end of the tunnel grows brighter with each order. Help us finish this project off and lets get the soldiers books paid for before they are distributed. Major Announcement: Distribution of the book will now be August 2010.
As the
soldiers of the 32nd continue to finish their book, it has been decided that the publication and distribution will be pushed back into Summer 2010. The primary reason for the delay is that the soldiers want to include a homecoming parade which will take place in Stevens Point, Wisconsin
on June 19, 2010. The entire brigade will march in a parade on that day. The homecoming parade was added in after the brigade returned from Iraq. This will be the final piece of their journey which began over 19 months ago.
Please understand that Serving the 32nd is strictly the fundraising entity for this project.
We have no control over content or release date of this book but we support this addition to the book. Serving the 32nd is proud to sponsor this very special historical book.
4.22.10
Serving the 32nd will be making presentations to a variety of sponsors today.
This is our way to give back to the individuals and corporate sponsors who have supported us through this project. Stop back and see the photos of those presentations.
4.21.10Serving the 32nd is on the move again this weekend. We will be attending the 60th Annual WINGA convention in Madison, WI. Progress on the fundraising for the books is coming along. We are steadily closing in on our goal of raising the funds necessary to provide each soldier of the brigade a free copy of the book.
4.15.10Congratulations to Arrowhead High School, Hartland, WI for raising $835.00 for the Red Arrow in the Sand books for the soldiers of the 32nd. They have won the state wide school competition. Arrowhead will receive an American flag that was flown in Iraq during the 2009 - 2010 deployment of the 32nd. We want to thank Arrowhead High school for all of their hard work. Presentation of the flag will take place at their school on Friday April 23, 2010.

Next weekend we will be at the state wide VFW conference in Appleton, WI. Correction - We apologize for any confusion the Facebook site has caused. It was set up by a person who did not get our approval for the additions they made. We did not know she put anything on the site that potentially caused confusion about registration. Facebook and Twitter are simply another means for us to get the word out about our project.
Our official website is the only way to register and communicate with the committee. If you used the Facebook site to sign up, you need to come to this site and officially register for the Tailgating with the Troops event. 8.16.09
